JOB TITLE:                            Busser

REPORTS TO:                      Manager / Supervisor

 

 

Summary

Bussers clean tables, taking plates, cutlery, and drinkware to the kitchen to be washed, make sure diners’ water glasses are full, and reset tables for the next service. Bussers might help waiters and waitresses bring food out to a table, restock utensils, napkins and other dining room needs.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  1. Prepares dining room for patrons by setting tables and stocking all necessary supplies prior to the beginning of service.
  2. Maintains table settings by removing finished courses and replenishing utensils as necessary.
  3. Refilling water glasses.
  4. Supports wait staff by assisting them with delivery of food and any supplies they may require.
  5. Maintains a clean, sanitary bussing and service station. Stocked
  6. Clear tables of dishware and napkins after meals.
  7. Prepare coffee, tea, and ice water for customers.
  8. Keep floors and chairs near dining tables clean by sweeping and mopping.
  9. Maintain appropriate stock levels of glassware, silverware, and dishware.
  • Clean, sanitize, and reset tables after meals.
  • Refill salt, pepper, and other condiments on dining tables.

 

Skills:

  1. Friendly, teamwork, self-motivated, time management.
  2. Ability to stand and walk for long period of time.
  3. Able to lift 50lbs, trays of dishes etc.

 

Qualifications:

  • Cleaning Skills – They maintain clean tables within the dining room and understand the restaurant’s presentation standards.
  • Customer service.
