REPORTS TO: Housekeeping Manager/ Housekeeping Supervisor
Position Summary:
Cleans guest rooms, working areas. Demonstrates a professional, friendly, warm, and welcoming manner to all guests and employees. Schedule must be flexible, lift 50 lbs., stand for extended period, bend, push repeatedly, team player.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Greeting guests and responding to queries.
Changing bed linens and making beds.
Replacing used towels and other bathroom amenities, such as shampoo and soap.
Sweeping and mopping floors.
Vacuuming carpets.
Dusting and polishing furniture.
Emptying waste cans.
Reporting any maintenance issues to the supervisor.
Updating status of guest rooms on assignment sheet and guest room telephone.
May include cleaning kitchen area, and room refrigerator.
Returning and cleaning cart at shift end.
Turn in all lost and found items according to Department instructions.
Physical requirements: –
Position requires walking and standing most of the working day.
Must be able to pace yourself to accomplish your quota of rooms at the end of the shift.
Ability to follow directions, perform tasks with attention to detail, speed, accuracy.
Ability to work with minimum supervision.
Replenish supplies and equipment as needed during the shift.
