 JOB TITLE:                            Steward

REPORTS TO:                      Manager / Supervisor

Summary

Primarily Responsible for operating and maintaining the quality, inventory of cutlery, dishes and all serving items.  Maintains the cleanliness of all F & B outlets including the kitchen area. Team player, lift 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure the kitchen is clean, well maintained, organized and sanitized.
  2. Assist the Cooks and Servers as and when necessary.
  3. Collect and remove trash from all F & B outlets of the operation.
  4. Dispose of waste as per the manager’s direction and maintain recycling guidelines.
  5. Ensure waste bin area is kept clean and tidy.
  6. Carry out general cleaning duties as trained.
  7. Follow the safety procedure while working with chemicals.

 

Knowledge requirements: –

  1. Ensure all equipment is clean and in good working order.
  2. Check all chemical levels and inventory.
  3. If any breakages or chipped items found, communicate to the Manager.
  4. Report any maintenance or hazardous issues to the stewarding manager.
  5. Always maintain a clean and safe work environment.

 

EDUCATION:

Basic.

 

EXPERIENCE:

Previous experience in similar role is a plus.
